New Cohort Starting This Spring
In January 2008, a new cohort of 25 pre-selected students will have the opportunity to take online courses through Navarro College and earn their software development certificate. This program can help you build the skills you'll need to work for companies like Northrop Grumman as a software developer.
To enter the program, you'll need to submit an application and pass the screening process. If selected, you’ll take 10 computer science courses (35 hours) utilizing Navarro College's Blackboard and Adobe Connect software. You’'ll need access to a computer with broadband Internet service to participate. In addition to the 10 computer science courses, there will be a Practicum upon completion of the course work, which will involve the student working 20 hours per week applying knowledge and skills developed to real world application.
Selection criteria include:
- Educational background (prefer applicants to hold at least an associates degree)
- Job history
- Computer programming aptitude test
- Personality profile
